Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio by a Sicilian mother and Irish father, Mick typifies blue collar America and “Steeltown Ohio”.

Mick was only ten years old when his uncle gave him his first guitar. At the age of eleven he joined his first band playing guitar and his musical journey began. Within what seemed to be a moment, he found himself on stage with jazz-pop great, Ramsey Lewis. A few years later the band needed a bass player so Mick volunteered, started playing bass and “found his instrument”. Throughout his high school and college years, Mick played in local bands around the Ohio tri-state area. After graduating from Kent State University, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he attended the Grove School of Music to further his studies in composition, arranging, and conducting. Mick is well known for his versatility in many styles of music, from jazz, blues and rock to funk, fusion and more. His reputation as an impressive groove player, in combination with a strong work ethic and well balanced professionalism, make him a highly respected artist in the music industry. He is best known for providing a rock solid foundation with the legendary vocalist, Pat Benatar, for nearly 20 years.

Since 1994 Mick has been playing, touring and recording with Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and appears on the her last six albums. Mick has also had the distinct experience of working in an arranger capacity with Prince on “Under the Cherry Moon” and Bobby Caldwell. His touring/recording credits include: founding member of Danny Seraphine’s band CTA (California Transit Authority), Phillip Bailey, David Foster, Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Alan Parsons, Keith Emerson, Glenn Hughes, Marc Bonilla and The Dragonchoir, Steve Miller, Montrose, Toni Childs, Sophie B. Hawkins, The Dixie Chicks, Ambrosia, Barry Manilow, Don Felder, Alice Cooper, Jon Anderson, Dwight Yoachum, Moon Zappa, Henry Mancini, Connie Stevens, Keely Smith, Jack Jones, Lisa Hartman-Black, Linda Hopkins, Mighty Mo Rodgers, Rick Springfield, Official bassist of the Woodland Hills Drum Club, Jack Tempchin, The Rockers Collective, Tin Drum, The 5th Dimension, Dave Mason and Spencer Davis!
